MY LIFE IN THE BIG CITY

To cap off every awesome thing that happened, I made a photo compilation of it. Mostly were taken in Makati–God knows how much I would miss this place, most especially the crowd I’m usually with. *sobs* Enough of the drama. lol. Seriously, I’ll be missing my life in the BIG CITY, soooo.. here are some of the things I would probably be reminiscing when I re-locate to Cavite:

1. UNENDING FOOD SESH1(Cafe Breton)2(Tender Bobs)3(Yellow Cab)4(KKK Pinoy Food Revolution)5(Yakimix)6(Banana Leaf)7(Pepper Lunch)8(Conti’s Bakeshop & Restaurant)9(Quiznos Sandwich Restaurant)10(Lamesa Grill)11(Tender Bobs)12(Sentro 1771)13(DADS.Kamayan.Saisaki)

Of course, foods like these wouldn’t be as good as it is without having awesome companies to share it with.

2. AWESOME PEEPSDSC07827229461_1766849688513_6316268_n4-up on 8-17-12 at 5.03 PM #5 (compiled)IMG_0116532387_3545911368324_417586441_n 387026_3545912168344_1740213421_n533218_3601777324938_772443849_nIMG_17013661_502441309771319_785594441_nIMG_2023620580_3764763075099_1828401869_o (1)IMG_1378
Spent my whole 4 years with these amazing people. I’ll surely miss you guys and all the memories we’ve shared. 🙂

3. ELORDEIMG_1896 IMG_1895

IMG_2052IMG_2050 IMG_2049IMG_2047
I never thought I would engage myself in this kind of sport. But my whole stay at the Elorde Boxing Gym was worth reminiscing; made a bunch of new friends (mostly from DLSU and CSB) and made me feel healthier and sexier. HAHA. But all of this won’t be possible if it weren’t for my patient coach, Coach Jhun, who continuously puts up with all my rants and still manages to remain nice to me. Teehee. Thank you, Coach!

Also, my whole stay at the Elorde Boxing Gym wouldn’t be complete without having pictures with one of my fave fashion bloggers, Lissa Kahayon, sooo.. Hooray for that! Btw, don’t mind my crappy face. I got star-struck from the moment she stepped out from the dressing room. HAHA (such a fan girl).

4. THE ACCESSIBILITY OF MALLS (LANDMARK, GLORIETTA, SM & GREENBELT)greenbelt-ayala-center-makati-03 55797456 107239056.XYzamjop 2169794323_1472d758bc(Credits to the one who took these photos)

One of the things I would most certainly miss–MALLS! Haha. I’m a guilty shop-a-holic, which is why I don’t know how I would survive life in Cavite. lol. But I’m pretty sure I can manage… I just hope I can. 🙂

5. HOW ECLECTIC AND QUIRKY I CAN BE WHEN IT COMES TO FASHIONmeHonestly, I wasn’t much of a savvy in terms of fashion before. But, I was certain of one thing, I was captivated by the class and the sophistication this city exudes. I decided to experiment first, and it turned out pretty well. Then, when I can’t get a hold of this whole fashion thing, I became more eager to experiment, explore and to step out from my comfort zone. I am even surprised that staples that may appear to be dull or boring, can still be eye-catching when combined with the right wardrobe, accessories, shoes, etc.

I guess that’s just about it! 🙂

SUNDAY MORNING

Since Sundays are for comfy days, I opted for something that’s comfortable and bold at the same time. Summer is still up and kickin’, which is why I still wear sleeveless-mullet dresses. Mullet skirts and dresses are one of my favorite staples, because it gives you a laid-back, effortless look. Also, it’s an up-do  of the usual maxi dresses and skirts, for me.IMG_2382IMG_2369IMG_2385 IMG_2386I guess that’s just about it! 🙂

BREAKING THE SILENCE

I’m pretty sure some of you are wondering why all of a sudden I went M.I.A. on Facebook, Twitter and didn’t even respond to all your texts and calls, which is why I’m writing this post to enlighten those people who are concerned about me. HAHA. I’m not writing this to fully disclose what happened, I’m only writing this post to express myself… So, here it goes.

Recently, I’ve encountered a very tragic experience in my life. I know that for some, it may seem to be shallow, but for me, it really meant something. Of course, I was depressed and even became withdrawn to the people I know, because I felt embarrassed and I feared that people would judge me for what had happen. I honestly fear judgment. Well, who wouldn’t? I’ve experienced it before and I don’t want history to repeat itself anymore. It wasn’t a very pleasant memory to remember, but then instead of sulking too much on the damage it gave me, I made it as my motivation to strive for success. This is what I’m actually doing now; trying to rise up from the ashes.

For quite some time, I’ve had my realizations on why such predicaments occur in life. I wondered why mine occurred earlier than I expected. Maybe God made this happen to teach me a lesson, or  maybe He’s trying to make me stronger so that I’d be prepared from the moment another problem strikes in my life again or maybe He plans something else for me, something wonderful perhaps. These thoughts started to clog my mind. I don’t know which is which, but I do know one thing-God is with me. I know that I may have, often times, neglected His presence because of my pride, but now I’m whole-heartedly surrendering everything unto Him.

Now, as y’all can see, I’m feeling better than ever. I stopped thinking of what other people might say and started finding solutions on how I could overcome this. I honestly felt guilty with the way I anticipated how my colleagues and professors are going to react with what had happen to me. It didn’t cross my mind that all of them would be so empathetic and understanding that made it easier for me to recover. On top of that, I didn’t expect that my parents would easily accept what happened (knowing them); I was really surprised. I felt fortunate being surrounded by these people whom I took for granted, but didn’t forsake me and even gave me their deepest consolation and understanding.

Capping it all off, I just want to thank those people who continuously reached out to me even if I often neglected your comments, texts or calls. I hope you understand that I’m still in this process of recovering my self-esteem/worth from the painful experience I’ve gone through, and that I truly I appreciate what you’ve done. Thank you for not making me feel indifferent and for understanding. It really means so much to me.

I know that this may not be my time, but I know that in God’s time everything will fall perfectly into place. Be patient, Gracia, God has prepared something wonderful for you in the future.IMG_1103

Again thank you from my ever pa-cute face. HAHA.

I guess that’s just about it! 🙂

VISITA IGLESIA

Some may celebrate the Lenten season by going to beaches or out of the country trips, but our family has its own traditional way of celebrating it. During Holy Week, it has been a custom of our family to visit seven churches or religious sites in order to commemorate as well as to complete our whole family ritual during the Lenten season.IMG_0992

I wasn’t able to take pictures of the first and the last church that we visited but the first one was the Parish at Makinabang, Bulacan and the last one was at Concepcion, Bulacan, our Quasi-Parish. Of course, this whole Visita Iglesia wouldn’t be complete without pictures of me and my family.IMG_1003IMG_1004IMG_1005IMG_1006

And also an outfit shot, of course.

NEUTRAL & BOLD

9If you guys are wondering if I am wearing a wig, well I’m not. This is actually one of our back blog posts. Seeing these photos make me want to grow back my long locks once again. Anyway, these shots were taken back when my cousin, Maan, and I were euphorically feeling the vibe of a blogger-wanna-be, which is why we raided each others closet and came up with another matching duo outfits.

87 6 5 4 3Apparently, both of us wore another contrasting outfits. I went for a neutral colored dress, while my cousin opted for something bold in color. I find these sheer pieces very appealing, most especially during summer seasons.

(Sorry for the LQ photos, btw…)

I guess that’s just about it! 🙂

BRIGHTER THAN THE SUN

1I really love the energy bold colors give whenever/whatever the occasion is. Today, I had to run some errands, which is why I opted for something semi-formal-ish and comfortable at the same time. The cropped top I bought from Never Been Kissed is very versatile for you can pair it with a high-waisted pair of shorts, a mullet skirt (may it be neutral, colored or printed), a skater skirt or just a simple maxi skirt, plus it also has a slit a the back which made it even more eye-catching and interesting for me. Since the weather is very unpredictable, I wore an animal printed maxi skirt instead, to keep my legs from shivering at the same time, I donned my over-used pair of black ballet flats since our destination is from North to South bound.2 563Sorry for the awkward pose. I just had to post this candid shot because it just seemed like I’m having a nostalgic moment in front of our house. Good thing this turned out to be “a bit” ok. Emphasis on “a bit” lol.7I guess that’s about it! 🙂

VIBRANT

IMG_0456

Since today is my last day at the dorm and I anticipated that some kind of drama is going to happen, I opted for something that may contrast the melodramatic mood. I have always been a fan of colors ever since I was a kid. I just love the vibrant and energetic aura it exudes. And when we speak of vibrancy and energy the first thing that comes to my mind is SUMMER! Woohoo. I’ve been so hyped for summer ever since February came. Summer is the time of the year where I can be creative and quirky at the same time, without looking weird. Apparently, I’ve got three different colors on me, and it just amazes me how these colors perfectly compliments each other.IMG_0553IMG_0556 IMG_0555 IMG_0554 IMG_0557I guess that’s about it! 🙂
